~Part 2~

~Alec Kuzac~

A soft sigh escapes my chapped lips as I stare contentedly at the black ceiling. I lay on my back on the sheets of my bed, as my braid digs into the base of my neck. I ignore it, as I blink away a sudden thought of earlier. 'No' those little answers gave me relief. If she were to pick up the phone when James called...I shook my head and released a small laugh. Who knows what would've went down. I turned on my side and sat up, feeling my head begin to throb slightly. I turned my vision to read my alarm clock. Green faded numerical letters shot back at me and showed 2:25 A.M. I groaned and stood up feeling my knee pop from its sudden bash with a strong rib cage an hour before coming home yesterday afternoon. I went to my window and unlocked it swiftly. I skid it open and delicately unlatched the screen and placed it to the side beside my wooden bookcase. I swung a leg and then jumped over, landing on my feet with a 'thud'. I closed the window and decided to sneak over to the worn out back fence where I could unlock it with a screwdriver I saved and get back out on the streets. I looked behind the water heater and grabbed the yellow handle of the tool and went over to the lock. I fit it into the key hole and turned it to my left. It popped open with a 'click' as I unhooked it and opened the gate. I returned it back as soon as I walked to the other side, and snapped it back on. I turned around and pushed a thick bush out of my way as I made it to the driveway. The deep dark blue night sky was brilliant with twinkling stars but there was no sign of a bright moon. I felt the wind tug at my clothes hesitantly as I faced down the road. Shadows were lurking dreamily as I began to jog up the street, deciding it's the quickest and efficient way to head to the nearest intersection. The temperature was still cold from the previous storm as I felt the goosebumps prickle my bare arms. The air still smelled of fresh moisture and maple from the trees, as I stopped at the top of the hill. I could see the neighbor hood exit and pushed on, seeing the street lamp shine, penetrating the uneasy darkness. My converse shoes made small 'smacking' noises as I came under it. A Nissan passed by quickly, whipping my head in its direction and I knew it was heading towards the highway. However, I chose to go the other way.

I decided to walk, just in case a cop was on duty somewhere. I didn't want them to suspect I did anything wrong. I have a perfect record and I would like to keep it that way. The weeds under my feet rustled against my shins catching the material for a second now and then. I shove my hands into my jean pockets beginning to feel the sting of dryness as I take in a breath. Another car passed and the road seemed to go on endlessly. But I know I'm halfway there as I see the neon green and blue lights of a diner. It opened about a week ago and it made my way of marking the land easier. The diner showed that I need to make one more turn towards the main intersection where bars and mini clothing shops lined the big roads that made transitions to the smaller parts of town. As I came under the strange lights of the sign of the diner I faced away squinting slightly and made my way into the night once again. The red leather seats were mostly empty except for maybe four or more people inside besides the employee's. I remember the text I received earlier, the words flashing in my memory. I got it and deleted it quickly before I met Anistyn. 'Meet me at the beginning of Houston drive in front of the bar Tempest' The number was unknown, but I understood the meaning and who it was from. This wouldn't be easy. My last meet earned me a mouth full of blood and a broken arm. I wouldn't be surprised if this was a continuation.

As I finally made it at the corner of the second road on Houston that made up the intersection I could feel my stomach churn. Sign's flashed 'open' and the few Bars scared away new customers by drunkards laughing and pouring alcohol all over themselves. It smelt of fresh vigor and bitterness. Tempest stood at the end of the strip with a wooden post in front of it, that showed the next street over. It's words shined bright white as I walked up towards it. Laughing and arguing could be heard on the inside. I shuddered as I felt the need to go back, but I stayed put as I debated wither or not to enter. But that came to an end, when I heard the familiar voice that haunted my existence. "So you decided to show, huh? I'm a little surprised considering what happened the last time. I thought you would chicken out." I spun around, as I caught a sudden glimpse of an ended walk. A dark silhouette, stood by the stairs that lead to the entrance. I swallowed roughly. "Chicken out? you got equally hurt, after all aren't we the same?" I retorted. The figure moved into the light and it looked like I was staring into a mirror all except for the hair which was down close near the shoulders. "The same in demise" his answer was short but my body seemed to freeze. My heart thumped in my chest, his dark red eyes appeared to be more penetrating. "Alec the reason why I asked you to come and meet me is so that we may discuss..." "Discuss what? I thought you wanted to finish-" "Wrong, I want to warn you" "About what, I'm shocked you would even attempt to care," "Ha, very funny. But I'm here to warn you about two things." "Oh great..." we stared at each other before he shrugged slightly. "The first is that you should be careful with people you meet, you never know if it's him or not and second..." He trailed off before continuing. "Second, watch out for the V-gang around here.  There after me and they'll probably mistake me for you. I stole something important of there's and turned in their leader through evidence that I left at the police's doorstep." I widened my eye's slightly before arching them and crossing my arms over my chest. "The V-gang? as in the Vampire Gang? What the heck were you thinking?!" I nearly shouted but kept as a harsh whisper. "I was thinking that I could somehow get them to separate..." "You realize that there's a second leader?" "I already knew that, I've got plans of my own. I just thought I'd give you a heads up of their search, his son Blur Lavenski goes to Kudos High, do you attend there by chance?" "No I don't, but I know someone, but I don't think they know that I know her." He nodded his head, as he looked down at the ground, before glancing away and meeting my gaze again. "Just...watch your back, okay?" "Okay fine. Try and keep me updated, I'll do the same if you promise." He gave me a small glare but then extended his hand. It was kind of bony, after all he did live on the streets. I eyed him back and gripped his hand tightly. "It's a deal" He said, his tone even. We released each other and just as he stood before me, he disappeared into thin air as if he never was there. He was apart of the shadows, that's how were different. As I heard a car horn ring in the distance and a woman yell to a man a few bars down, I decided maybe I should do the same. Later that morning I awoke to another day of school and a play of amnesia the previous hours.

Yes I know its short, but its everything necessary for his part at this time. Many questions are raised from this, but they will be answered...eventually. Or else if I say I'm afraid I would have to change a few things in the plot for my section. Anyway Alec and the mystery man who's name I'll reveal later belongs to me, along with the V-gang.

However Blur Anistyn and Kudos High belong to Da-Numb-Heart

That's all for now

and please, DO NOT STEAL!! right's rightfully belong to Da-Numb-heart and me
